• FOUNDED in 1999 as a result of the genocide - in order to address the issues of torture and organised violence - by human rights activists including lawyers, physicians, and students from the Medical Students Association(MEDSA) of the National University of Rwanda.

• An organisation centered around 60 volunteers from differing professions who devote their time to the organisation on a part-time and as needed basis.
